Jazz Festival at 19, Monty has always shown signs of greatness. Fast forward to
his recent stellar solo performances at the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival 2019,
Caan France early 2018, and the Newport Jazz Festival in 2016 amongst several
others. The soulful & smooth voice of keyboard player, singer-songwriter, and
producer Monty Seward, coupled with his love for Jazz and R&B, has come to
fruition in an eclectic collection of tasteful Smooth Jazz instrumentals and Urban
AC vocal tunes that will please the appetite of most. Former staff writer for
Quincy Jones, Monty Seward has written, produced, or performed with such
notables as Regina Belle, El DeBarge, James Ingram, Michael Bolton, Howard
Hewett, Kelly Clarkson, George Duke, Chante Moore, Layla Hathaway, The
Jacksons, Isley Brothers and many more. Monty has chosen to step beyond the
side-man & producer roles to center stage. His new single Gettin’ Better, which
features sax phenom Eric Darius, was released earlier last year. Monty’s
energetic yet soothing and soulful style has proven to pair well with Wine
Country audiences from Temecula to the Napa Valley where he has shared the
stage with the billboard charting artist, Adam Hawley, and the legendary Larry
Graham.
