Gregory was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was always surrounded and supported by a musical family. His grandmother was a “Gospel Singer,” and his other a pianist. She and her sister were both vocalist in the Choir. You can close your eyes and almost imagine what Sunday gatherings and even day to day living was like in this family.

Greg’s very first guitar was through the generosity of a man who owned Mayor’s jewelry. He  was self-taught and so right away attached himself to that guitar. he played at school by competing in talent showcases and expositions. He continued playing advancing to a more professional level (the”Chittlin Circuit”) playing blues and gospel music throughout Memphis and New Orleans. Since then he has been all over the country sharing his love for music with everyone who would listen. he has been an opening act for headliners such as The Gospel Southernaires, The Highway Q.C.’s and most recently was Karen Clark- Sheard.
