As a self taught musician, John has honed and developed his skills over decades and has proven to be a natural performer with a smooth voice and a funky style. From the early 90’s John had a very successful working covers/original band which performed extensively in San Diego averaging 90 shows a year for over 10 years. It included all the hot spots and featured key performances for KPLN The Planet 103.7 radio station Earth Fair 1997, the KGB 101.5 Rockin Bowl, The Del Mar Fair, Viejas The Dream Catcher Showroom, Dicks Last Resort, tons of local club work, Private Engagements, Corporate, Events, and studio credits. John continues to write, record, and perform locally in San Diego. You can also catch him around town with his vocally oriented duet “French Toast and Stockings”
Maria began her musical studies in Venezuela at the Conservatory of Music Vicente Emilio Sojo at the age of seven. From there she studied theory and solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, history of music, choral, orchestral and operatic singing initiation within their lyric training. Maria has taken classes with such renowned teachers as Angelo D’adonna, Aquiles Machado, Lotty Ipinza and Suso Mariategui, among others. She belonged to the Opera Company of the West (Venezuela) and under
their guidance performed in more than a hundred concerts nationwide. She has participated in operas like Sour Angelica, Cavalleria Rusticana, Madame Butterfly and The Martyrs of Columbus. Similarly, Maria has ventured into other styles of singing, like jazz master hand Silvio Arocha, with whom she made her first album titled “Eclexias”. Likewise, she has made musical theater as part of the cast and vocal trainer Civil Association “Andante Theater” participating in musical works of “Godspell” by Stephen Schwartz (Season 2012 and 2014) and “surprises” from Dan Goggin (Season 2013-14).
