Meet the Barstow Prophets – In 2013 guitarists Chris Whelton and Michael Bacarella formed the Barstow Prophets in Temecula California. From the beginning the band had one goal, “step off the ledge and play your ass off” in front of live audiences. Whelton and Bacarella quickly recruited Leonard Wallace on congas and Miles Denney on Drums. In 2015 Mike Miller joined the band replacing Bacarella on guitar, and Ryan Berkowsky joined the band full time on harmonica. In 2016 Jack McBroom joined the band as the permanent bass player. Mike Bacarella now lives in Los Angeles and works as a studio musician, but still appears with the band as a special guest along with Paul Spees on Hammond B3 organ and Dennis Dean as a second drummer. For the past four years the band has performed at local wineries, clubs and events. The band has released three full length original music albums: Well.
